Overview 
Data Rescue II is a major step forward from Data Rescue X, Prosoft Engineering's award winning data recovery program for Macintoshes. 
 
What's New, version 1.2.1 
• This version is distributed on a new Leopard-based (10.5.3) boot DVD.  This allows booting on newer hardware. 
• A bug was fixed which prevented several file modules which were based on binary property lists from being disabled. 
• A built-in file module was added for recovering gzip files. 
• Two bugs were fixed which in rare cases caused crashes during scanning. 
• A bug was fixed which could rarely cause a Data Rescue user preferences file to become inaccessible due to permissions. 
• A bug was fixed which prevented the user from re-choosing the same working directory on second and subsequent scans. 
• Safety checks were enhanced to prevent the user from inadvertently choosing to write to the scan drive or inside the current working directory.
